Our Mission
Why we exist
We want to keep doing the things he did: helping young people stay in school, supporting families who are having a hard time, and treating everyone with respect.
He went from a labourer who couldn't afford books to a Branch Manager who wrote textbooks. People helped him along the way, and we want to do the same for others.
Our Vision
We want every child in our community to be able to finish school, whatever their family can afford.
Ajibade used to say he wanted the Odunlade family to look out for each other, so that when one of them got an opportunity, they'd help someone else get one too. We'd like to do that for families beyond our own.
What We Do
Our Programmes
Scholarships
We help students from low-income families pay their school fees. Ajibade knew what it was like to be sent out of an exam hall because his fees hadn't been paid.
Grants
Small grants for families in and around Ile-Ife who are going through a hard time, the same kind of help he quietly gave for years.
Youth Mentorship
We put young people in touch with people working in banking, business and other careers who can give them honest advice, the way he did for many.
Financial Literacy
Simple, practical sessions on saving, budgeting and using a bank, for people who were never taught.
How We Operate
Our Guiding Values
Integrity
We'll be open about where money comes from and where it goes.
Diligence
We keep proper records and account for every naira, as he did.
Faith
We pray over our decisions and do this work for God's glory.
Generosity
We give without expecting anything back, as he did.
